House burglaries - Brunshaw

Good evening,

I wanted to take a minute to message you as the Local Policing Inspector for Burnley in response to a series of attempted house burglaries that are occurring in the vicinity of the football club in Brunshaw Ward, usually around 4am. The suspect is approaching doors and trying door handles, looking for unlocked doors. Please ensure you keep your doors locked overnight in this area.

My team are revisiting all of the victims of the offences and are offering crime prevention advice, reassurance and exchanging details of the local officers.

In addition to this, the burglary team are working tirelessly in the background to identify the person responsible and our 24/7 response policing colleagues are spending as much time in the area overnight to find the man.

I am aware there have been several posts on social media with CCTV and images of the suspect - we now need your help to identify him. He wears a distinctive cap which we know someone will recognise.

Even if you don't know his name but recognise the cap, recognise which shops he goes into or even just the street/house where he lives we need you to tell us by responding to this message.
